Welcome
I am a self-taught artist from Minneapolis. I’ve been painting for over ten years and gradually discovering my own visual language. One day when I stepped back and really looked at my work — I saw a pattern emerge: solitary women, existing alone in quiet, interior spaces. That imagery mirrors my own life. I have lived much of my life in long periods of solitude and isolation— a place I understand intimately. One I am sometimes comfortable in and sometimes broken by. My work exists in that tension.
Each woman I paint is not just a reflection of myself. She has her own fully realized identity within her world — her posture, gaze, surroundings, and the emotions she carries tell stories that are hers alone. I paint with bright, saturated colors, particularly love using red, as a way of giving weight and intensity to experiences that are often internal— also, because red is beautiful.
Painting has become both a refuge and necessary rhythm. Periods of intense, almost obsessive creation followed by pauses of quiet reflection. I am currently in a season of alignment, focusing on sharing my work more intentionally. I am not driven by conventional success, but by the necessity of creating and letting it find its place in the world.
Creating is not a phase or a goal; it is the way I move through my life. The ability to communicate without words has always been essential to me.
This is my offering.
